If you've run into issues while trying to link more than one Instagram account to your Flick workspace, you're in the right place. This article will guide you through the prerequisites, the linking process, and how to troubleshoot common issues.

Requirements to Link

Before you can successfully link an Instagram account to Flick, make sure all three prerequisites are ‘true’.

  • Your Instagram account is set as a Business or Creator page

  • Your Instagram is linked to a Facebook Business page, not a profile.

  • Your Facebook profile is an admin of the Facebook page

Once these rules are true, you should be able to connect your accounts to Flick from your workspace.

How To Link Additional Accounts

To link an additional Instagram account, please complete the following:

  1. Head to your Workspace: Navigate to the social group you’d like to add an additional Instagream account too.

  2. Click 'Connect' in the section for Instagram and follow the instructions below:

    1. Facebook Pop-Up: In the pop-up window click 'Edit Settings' (Do not select 'Continue As')

    2. Select all IG accounts and all associated FB pages

    3. Make sure all permissions are enabled

    4. Continue and refresh your connection

Your additional account(s) should now appear ready to be selected and connected to your social group.

Troubleshooting Instagram Connection

If you are having trouble linking additional accounts, at least 1 of 3 things is likely true:

  1. Not all of the three requirements previously mentioned have been met for this IG account.

  2. You did not select all IG accounts and all associated FB pages.

  3. You’ve logged into a different Facebook account in order to link a new social to Flick.

So…how do we fix this?

  1. If you were unable to complete all three ‘rules’, or are unsure if you did so successfully, check out this article for a guided walkthrough

  2. Check to see if you are getting an error like this one below:

This error will be shown for one of two reasons:

1. Not all Instagram accounts or Facebook pages have been selected.

2. You’ve logged into a different Facebook account in order to link a new social to Flick.

  1. Not all Instagram accounts or Facebook pages have been selected.

This means that you did not select all IG accounts and the associated FB pages.

Connecting Instagrams in the Facebook Pop-up is not social group-specific. All Instagram accounts and their relevant Facebook Pages need to be ticked in the Facebook Pop-Up

2. You’ve logged into a different Facebook account in order to link a new social to Flick.

When connecting to Flick, you can only be logged into one Facebook account. This one Facebook account must be able to access all accounts you’d like to link to Flick.

When logging into a different Facebook account, Flick will lose connection to the previous accounts you have connected and thus, an error is triggered to stop this from happening.

To fix this. You must connect all accounts from one Facebook account. This means your Facebook profile must be an admin of all Facebook Pages so they can be accessed.

Don’t have access to all Facebook Pages?

If you don’t have admin access, you can (or ask a client to) follow the instructions below to become an admin of a Facebook Page.

If a client does not wish to provide admin rights to you then you can invite them to your workspace in order for them to connect their socials accounts themselves.

Believe everything is set up correctly and followed all steps above?
