Here you’ll find a glossary of Flick’s Smart Collection metrics to help you understand which hashtags are performing well for you, and which hashtags you may want to stop using. These metrics are found in both Flick’s Smart Collections: Used Hashtags and Top Performing.

Times Used: The number of times since activating Analytics Pro, you have used that hashtag.

Times Ranked: The number of posts you made using that hashtag which ranked in the top100 posts on that hashtag.

Rank Ratio: The percentage of times you rank in the top 100 posts with this hashtag when using it.

Average Best Rank: For each post that ranks on a hashtag, we look at the highest it ranked on that hashtag and average this across all your posts. The smaller the number the better!

💡 Some bonus tips to think about:

  • Constantly testing & iterating will lead to the best results with hashtags.

  • Ensure the Average ‘Likes’ of the hashtag you’re going to use is similar to that of your own content.

  • Hashtags that have low Competition and high Potential Reach are going to provide the best results.

We hope this helps, and as always feel free to send us a message if you have any questions!
